A plenty of culinary specialities, world mead and wine, craftsmen and other handmade products by Slovak sellers are awaiting you in the Advent Market in the Trinity Square. Their opening is on the 29th of November and besides Christmas mood and Christmas tree light up you can look forward to performance by Fragile, a famous Slovak vocal group.

We have heard that St. Nicholas is packing his bags and is about to come to Trnava. On Wednesday, the 5th of December, he is coming to delight all the children to a square called after him. Angels, devils and Nicholas's sledge won't be missing. Come at 5:15 p.m. to welcome this honoured guest and to light up the St. Nicholas Square together with him. Two days after enjoy first of four advent concerts held on advent weekends in the St. Jacob's Church.

Also this year, one of the most beautiful localities in Trnava's centre welcomes traditionally period craftsmen during Medieval Christmas  market. Drop by for a cup of hot Christmas punch served in original period jugs. Taste poppy, walnut or cooker pancakes with a fair portion of butter and get to know medieval crafts. Live animals like sheep, ducks and geese won't be missing. Live Advent calendar brings lots of performances several times a day.

You'll get the most beautiful view of Advent market from Town Tower. Discover it's corners with a lampion in hand during special pre-Christmas climbs with a guide in a historical costume. He wises you up, step b step, with stories and legends about the tower every Thursday and Sunday. During Advent market, the Town Tower is opened for visitors on Fridays and Saturdays up to 9 p.m. (with the last entry at 8.30 p.m.). On other days are the opening hours in standard winter season regime.
