In the middle of Carnival period, the Slovak Freeski Cup Finals will take place in Kremnica during Big Air snowboard and freeski event. Town's majestic appeal is amplified by Štefánik Square enclosed by historical buildings including the Mint, the Town Hall where Riders' Lounge and Office are located and numerous medieval buildings under the Town Castle. From dozens of attendants, Kremnica will introduce new ski freestyle champions in categories for men and women above 15 years of age competing in slopestyle. A a valid FIS license is required to enter the competition.

FIS Freeski Europa Cup 2020 in Kremnica will be an official FIS event organized by FRST Crew Kremnica NGO and Slovakia Ski Association. After successful FIS Race competition in 2018, in Kremnica you can look forward to FIS EC for the first time On Saturday, 8 February, names of the best racers will be known.

Freeski skills are also useful. Freeriding is not a pastime for young people who like to show off, but it is designed for responsible and cool-headed indidividuals who are aware of the danger of avalanches, falls and other troubles that one can encounter on a trip outside the marked trails. You can enjoy freeriding in several resorts in Slovakia or on slopes in their vicinity. Now the town of Kremnica is to join these locations for freeride snowboarding & freeskiing.
