Would you like to know more about Trnava? The opportunity comes with World Tourist Guides Day. Thanks to free commenced tours anyone can get familiar with popular landmarks and hidden treasures of Little Rome belonging to most beautiful towns in Slovakia. If you like to discover, visit Trnava and take part the last Sunday of February.
Tours provided free of charge will present Trnava's famous sights such St. Nicolas Basilica, Cathedral of St. John the Baptist, the 12th century Roman ossuary or town fortifications. With this event, Trnava joins Slovakia's Banská Bystrica, Bardejov, Bratislava, Košice, Levoča, Malacky, Martin, Nitra, Ružomberok or Skalica to celebrate the day dedicated to tourist guides.
Two themed tours are prepared on February 23rd in Trnava. While "University Trnava" will commemorate history of scholarship in the town, "Medieval Trnava" will offer a closer look to the history focused on golden era, royal meetings or wine culture of today's capital of Trnava Region. Discover cultural and architectonic beauties of Trnava with professional commentary and learn something you've never thought about before.
