Welcome to the fourth year of the largest early medieval and experimental archeology festival in Slovakia, welcome to Utgard.
Forget the knights and princesses, this is about true Middle Ages at glance. Immerse into the dark era of raw fights, exprience the journey to the early medieval times.
The event will take place the first summer holidays weekend on June 30th and July 1st, 2018 in a new location of Archeopark Liptovia in near proximity of village Partizánska Ľupča under majestic Low Tatras in Liptov historical region. There will be over 600 participants hailing from 6 countries, including Slovakia, Czechia or Poland.
Historical camp, period cuisine and crafts, archery, talks, activites for children and adults, duels, battles for the bridge, fire show and reconstructions of religious ceremonies from our ancestors' lives are waiting for you.
The highlight of the event is a great battle of some 300 Viking, Slavic and Avar warriors in historicaly accurate early medieval costumes, who fight with functional replicas of period weapons and armour.
