The following is about to be announced, that Kremnica Guilds Feast will take place in this free royal town of Kremnica on the Saint Anne's Day. The Guild Feast is sort of a celebration of the town and attracts both adults and children. An event with a historic element takes place in the second half of July.
Kremnica belongs to the medieval towns which at the time of its glory was one the most developed and richiest towns in this part of Europe. Wealth of the town originated from mining, what laid the foundations of strong guilds. Kremnica Guild Feasts commemorate the artistry of old masters.
Since 2009, the guild feast in Kremnica are associated with traditional fair, reconstruction of historical events and a manifold accompanying programme. The ceremonial festivities of the town are nowadays held bi-annually together with The Kremnica Fair.
The two-day festivities offering a lot of activities for family entertainment will begin on Friday July 20th with old crafts presentations, medieval life and work reconstructions and fights performances on the Štefánik Square in the very heart of the town. In the nearby streets the present craftsmen and traditional fair marketeers will pride with their products.
