This Bratislava downtown located market is a very popular event which runs a couple of times in a year for only one day. It is focused on Christmas presents, smart, art and design products, advanced toys for children, old books, modern food and other such goods and selected varieties, but most of all good vibes. This is its Christmas edition in the Old Market Hall and surroundings on Silver Sunday with the focus on climate change.

The market supports local producers, farmers, creative folks and initiatives. By cooperating with the neighborhood community, the event is offering an alternative to spending free time in the shopping malls – as it is more and more common here. You can find healthy, high quality food and beverages, buy old books, antiques or secondhand clothing and design goods, join some sport or educational activities for the whole family, or just slow down, meet and greet with friends and listen to unplugged concerts.

For this winter indoor edition the same applies, just give away the open space and add some mulled wine and the possibility to buy some unconventional Christmas presents. You will find there a stage for signing choirs, ice statues, lantern march or a design Christmas tree, workshops and charity events. Further there will be hidden art installations, light installations, art and video performance. As usual all will be very contemporary and different from the traditional markets.

Apart from stands with high-quality goods, original design, books, accessories and clothes, there will be many accompanying events. The Good Market will present its traditional manifold offer of design, antiquities, healthy food, international streetfood and various non-profit projects. Apart from a variety of quality vendors and special events you can also expect activities at other venues. You can spend a good time at the quiet zone in The Centre for Information on Literature. Or you can go to Little Vinter's Ale House. The Polish Institute as well as the KC Dunaj or Kunsthalle will also contribute to the programme. The market will also feature a children's curb market and creative workshops.

The market in Old Market Hall and its nearby streets will have over 150 booths. Food, drinks, you and your friends. Simply – a good day. Come to buy original Christmas presents in a magical atmosphere at the Bratislava's Good Market on last but one Sunday before Christmas.

The first happening under the name “The Good market” took place in streets of Slovakia's capital in 2011. Since that time this urban market regularly shows the city to its humans in a different angle by revitalizing various places, visible but also hidden streets, squares and corners, while asking forgotten questions about the importance of using the public urban spaces.

Good Market is inspired by traditional street markets as we know them from abroad. Common in the Netherlands, Belgium and England - the most famous lets say the London's Portobello Road. It is a sustainable model that stimulates the local community, and consequently brings a new tourist destination in the district. We apply this model to the realities of Bratislava since we believe this is the way to create a positive and active relationship to the public space. For the first time the Good Market took place on 09/15/2011 at downtown Panenská Street with 20 stands. Retailers presented all kinds of good goods such as bio-products, gastronomy, antiques, books, fashion and design products supported by local musicians and activities for kids and adults. Attendance was about 3000 people. Later, the ambition was to organize the Good Market on Panenská several times a year to create a new tradition, inspiring also other neighborhoods in Bratislava and interact with local communities to create their own Good Market. A fulfilled ambition. Over the following years, the Good Market has grown and expanded into other parts of the city. Now there are three Good Markets annually – at Panenská Street, at Jakub Square and in Old Market Hall and the streets nearby.
