Arboretum Kysihýbel in the administrative territory of Banská Štiavnica (central Slovakian town inscribed in the List of the UNESCO World Cultural and Natural Heritage) is the unique experimental forestry area specialized in rapidly growing exotic wood species.
Arboretum, also called Feistmantels Garden is situated one kilometre from the housing estate Drieňová, in the direction of Banský Studenec. It was founded by J. Tužoň, teacher at the local Academy of Mining and Forestry in 1900. Its area is 7.73 hectares.
282 wood species of the Northern Hemisphere, mostly from the Northern America were planted on this area. The Arboretum was designed the Protected Area in 1950.
Arboretum serves above all to students of how exotic wood species acclimatise to central European conditions. There are several indeed special specimens of these plants in the Arboretum of Kysihýbel.
