On first Saturday of April, town of Púchov will host an annual Easter Fair with interesting cultural programme based on ancient tradition of burning the Morena. The ceremonial opening of the event on the town centre's pedestrian zone is scheduled at 10 a.m.
A theatrical performance entitled "Cutie's Easter Story" will please all children and Spring Show of Púchov's kindergartens and elementary schools, leisure centre and art school as well as Púchov Smiley Theater will also on programme. At 14.15 p.m., Morena's last journey will start. Children's folklore ensembles and music bands will take her to River Váh where the poor effigy will be ceremonially killed, burnt and drowned.
