Prešov Region capital bids goodbye to Carnival season with a typical cheerful celebration. Regularly, the last Tuesday of The Carnival offers a grandiose spectacle in the centre of the historical Šariš region metropolis and a third largest town in Slovakia. This year it is reviving the customs and traditions of the city's forefathers and uncovering fragments either forgotten or never before seen of the Prešov's folk tradition.
At a bit foolish winter feast, the Eastern Slovakia city turns to a masquerade ball directly at its pedestrian zone to enjoy the last moments of the merriest period of the year.
