The new documentary Castles of the Heart of Europe IV. uses aerial videos to portray the current state of the castles of Eastern Slovakia. It is a truly unique work of art – an aerial documentary with footage of castles from out of the ordinary, captivating perspectives.
The documentary includes footage of castles that have much more to show than just the scarce remains of their former walls or small imperfections in the terrain.
The film contains aerial footage of 30 castles and structures later built on top of the foundations of former castle, as well as other fortified structures. The aerial footage is accompanied by modern adaptations of music from the castles’ respective historical periods. Some scenes are accompanied by the ideas of Therese of Lisieux.
The footage of the individual castles contains a description that includes the name of the structure, the century that the first castle structure or fortified structure was erected on the site, and the district in which the structure is located.
The DVD contains both Slovak and English versions. The film is meant to show the history and beauty of Slovakia in a very interesting and original way.
