Excellent climate conditions for growing fruits, especially plums, apples, and pears, as well as the attentiveness with which the locals take care of their fruit trees, have predestined the Kopanice region to become a renowned fruit-growing region. In the past, locals used excess fruit to make dried fruit, jam, and brandy, and the pits were pressed for oil.
Through the Kopanice Fruit and Brandy route, you can learn about the values of the inhabitants of the region, passed on from generation to generation with proper pride. Plan a daylong trip to one of the selected establishments (11 in total), which includes a professional tutorial, demonstration of the production processes, and tasting of the following local products: dried fruits, ciders, jams, fruit teas, spirits, and traditional fruit pies.
