Description of the route: From the third tallest mountain of the West Tatras one can see the whole region of Liptov. A demanding high-mountain tour with steep and difficult ascent to the Baranec Mt. Lowered visibility may cause difficult orientation on the crest in the stretch between the Baranec Mt. and the Žiarske sedlo saddle. The rest of the tour is quite easy past the Žiarska chata cottage. Refreshment and lodging in the Žiarska chata cottage are available. Most of its parts are closed in winter time.
