Slovak Agricultural Museum in Nitra is certainly interesting for visitors whose hobby is technical history connected with farm work. Part of it is an open-air exhibition with a great number of historic technology and a unique field railway.
Technical monuments of the SAM in Nitra are located in the rear part of the area in exhibition space of Agrokomplex in Nitra. It is a remarkable set of exhibits that demonstrates the traditional procedures applied to processing of farm crops and in production of food articles.
Visitors can contemplate historical beehives, haylofts, huts of wine growers and other structures used by farmers in the past. All of them are functional and present the samples of their works. Interesting narrow-gauged field railway from around 1881 was moved here from the village Želiezovce and it is also part of the exhibition.
