Who will become this year's freestyle skiing champion in Slovakia? The Cup will start under Mt. Chopok in Low Tatras in the middle of January with its 1st round. Slovak Freeski Cup Finals will also take place in Snowpark Jasná, the oldest and a significant pioneering Slovak snow park, revealing who the next Slovakia's champion in freestyle skiing will be.
DC Snowpark in
Jasná, located in the area of Otupné, is one of the longest working snow parks not only in
Slovakia but also in surrounding countries.
The Slovak Cup in freestyle skiing held this year in
Zuberec,
Donovaly and
Jasná will introduce new champions in categories for men, women and juniors born in years 2000 - 2005. Two disciplines are open this season, slopestyle and Big Air. All competitions are open, anyone can sign in. The race can be attended by anyone, however it is recommended to be registered as a SLA Slovak Ski Association racer or own a FIS code. Only then can you fight for the title of Master of SR or become the Slovak Cup Winner.
The right to fight for the title of Master of Slovakia and the Slovak Cup winners only have competitors registered in the Slovak Ski Association.
The last round in
Jasná is organized as FIS races by Acrobatic Skiing section of Slovak Ski Association. The right to run in the FIS competition therefore have only competitors with a valid FIS license. Competitors without a FIS license will be eligible to enter the competition and will be evaluated in the "open" category.
Racer with the highest score from the Championship of Slovakia held February 10th in Snowpark Riders Park
Donovaly will become The Master of Slovakia. A racer with the highest sum of the points from all four races will become the new winner of the Slovak Freeski Cup in freestyle skiing. In case of equality of points, the higher sum of the judges' score from the finals of the cup is the determinig factor. If not decided in this case, two will be declared winners of the Slovak Cup.
