The Šariš Gallery in Prešov is one of the oldest regional galleries in Slovakia. It has the status of the Prešov Self-governing Region regional gallery now.

The gallery administers one of the highest quality and most interesting gallery resources in Slovakia that includes over four thousand works of art from the late 15th century up to the present.

Remarkable are the collections of the 15th – 19th century wooden plastic art, the 16th – 19th century icons, the 19th century painting, or the 20th century regional art. Further, the gallery is also a significant documentation andinformation centre in the field of regional fine arts.

Its visitors are offered exhibitions, lectures, debates, studio visits, child activities, open fine art lessons, concerts, literary events, club activities, counselling, consultations, and methodical assistance in the field of fine arts with respect to authorship, maintenance of works, etc. Archive study is also allowed.
