As of March 14, 2016, visitors of Piešťany are now able to enjoy a scenic horse carriage ride throughout the town.

A similar carriage was once used by European aristocracy back in the 19th century.

The carriage is equipped with a folding roof to protect passengers from bad weather,and will be operated year-round. The route starts on the grounds of the F. E. Scherer Spa Institute on Teplická street.

The route leads through the city centre and over the Kolonádový bridge to the Spa Island (Kúpeľný ostrov). The carriage then makes a turn in front of the spa congress centre at the edge of the golf course.

In good weather, visitors can also get on another horse carriage at stops behind the Trajan Villa and at the Music Pavilion.
