Záhorie region has an extraordinary dialect. The word "mravenec" comes from this original form of language and it means "an ant". The festival itself is an exhibition of children's folklore, especially the dance and singing of Slovakia's regions and also the folklore from abroad. Traditions are presented by beauty and uniqueness of the folk costumes of participating ensembles representing own community and region, too.

Every year, the festival in Plavecký Štvrtok brings almost a dozen of children's folklore ensembles and groups with more than 300 active members. This year, the ensembles from the Bratislava Region, from Prešov, Czechia's Zlín, Austria's Vienna will participate as well as an atractive ensemble from Central American Panama.
