This year's castle festival at Ľubovňa Castle is dedicated to the visit of Polish King John II Casimir to Ľubovňa Castle.
The Medieval
castle festival at Ľubovňa Castle commemorates the visit of Polish King John II Casimir, who visited Ľubovňa
Castle in 1656. During the three-day
event, visitors have the opportunity to watch a re-enactment of his visit, have
fun, and learn a lot about the castle through the accompanying program which
includes performances by the St. Bavo
Falconers, the Páni Spiša fencers, and the Polish Hussar Regiment, Podolski Regiment Odprzodowy.
Visitors can also enjoy listening to period music in the recesses of the
castle. Creative craft workshops and skilled craftsmen will also be on hand.
On Friday, 29 July 2016, visitors will have the
opportunity to enjoy the night-time atmosphere at the castle during night tours of the castle scheduled to
start at the following times: 8 PM, 8:15 PM, 8:30 PM, 8:45 PM and 9 PM.
