Levice Fair belongs to one of the best-known southern Slovakia autumn folk markets in which stall-holders from Pohronie and Tekov regions as well as from more distant regions take part. This year with altogether 400 market stalls in almost 2,5 km width provide a wide range of what you ever wished for.
Used to be known as Tekov Fair, tradition of fairs in Levice dates back for over a century. It is held in the centre of the town and provides marathon full of music from folklore through country and rock music, various music bands, singers, entertainers, theatre and humorous competitions.
Typical
atmosphere would not be complete without a
large offer of refreshments, especially home specialities, barbecued sausages, goose meat and sweet young wine.
