Jasná – Low Tatras joined Austrian Kitzbühel in the prestigious World Ski Awards in the category of best Slovak ski resort in 2015.

In so doing Jasná rubs shoulders with the 24 best international ski resorts.

The World Ski Awards aims to increase standards in the ski industry and award organisations and sites that are market leaders.

This year the competition for the first time also included Slovakia, Bulgaria and the Czech Republic.

The jury for the 3rd year of the World Ski Awards consisted of professionals from the tourist industry, organizers, tour operators, agencies, media representatives, visitors and skiers, who select their favourite sites, mountain chalets and hotels.

1.4 million online votes from all over the world were taken into consideration. These ski sites were the 24 top world destinations: Austrian Kitzbühel, Australian Thredbo, Japanese Niseko United, New Zealandia Mt Hutt, South Korean YongPyong, Grandvalira (Andorra), Bulgarian Bansko, Czech Ski area Špindlerův Mlýn, Finnish Ruka, French Val Thorens, German Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Italian Val Gardena, Norwegian Trysil, Polish Czarna Góra, Russian Rosa Khutor, Slovak Jasná Nízke Tatry, Slovenian Kranjska Gora, Spanish Aramón Cerler, Swedish Åre, Swiss Laax, Argentinian Chapelco Ski Resort, Canadian The Lake Louise Ski Resort, Chile Portillo and American ski area Deer Valley Resort.

Austrian Kitzbühel became the Top ski resort for 2015. The celebratory award ceremony took place there last weekend.

In November 2014 Jasná won ‘The Best Up and Coming Resort’ at the World Snow Awards.
