From 4 – 6 July 2014, Nitra becomes a scene of city festivals “Nitra, dear Nitra…”, Pribina and Cyril and Methodius Festivals, which are dedicated to leading figures from Nitra's history and present.

The rich programme of festivals starts on Friday, 4 July, with a conference in Ponitrianske múzeum (Ponitrianske Museum) focused on the topic of Svätopluk and his time period. Then a musical-theatre evening takes place in Svätoplukovo námestie (Svätopluk Square). On Friday and Saturday, Nitra Castle and the village will come alive with a historic festival Pribinova Nitrawa. Also this year, there is an exhibition of military camps with demonstrations of life during the period of Prince Pribina, a marketplace with historic craftsmen and goods, a period pub and tea house, historic archery, demonstrations of duels and drill, Prince Pribina's suite, period music, fire show and King Svätopluk's Sword Tournament.
