Košice downtown will host again fairy tale ice sculptures to add some special atmosphere to local Christmas mood. Not only Christmas markets at High Street with mead, hot wine, punch, sausages, ham and lots of stalls with Christmas and hand-made products or Christmas programme with folk groups, theatre performances, Slovak bands lure to visit the town this period of year, but also wonderful fairy-tale sculptures that were just created from ice bricks right in the city centre are here to make a Christmas stay in Košice even more interesting.

For the nineth time already, ice sculptures carved into the clear ice bricks will please the wide public. This year in an animal and ice hockey themes and by renowned sculptors. In all Europe, you can find only a few artists able to make sculptures from ice and do the best show. Now you have this chance at Ice Kingdom in Košice event. 

Popular animal figures and ice hockey heroes have, fortunately, chance to remain in shape at least till Christmas as the weather forecast is favourable. Hopefully, all ice sculptures can also take part on New Year's Eve celebrations or stay with inhabitans and visitors of Košice even longer.

There will be a ice curving workshop that should not be missed, this year focused on children even more. Children can also try the ice throne, a really cold type of furniture.

Since 2010 in the centre of Košice, this project is an integral part of Košice fairy-tale Christmas. The place of event is park in historical centre of Košice Region capital near known Singing fountain. Ice works are made by renowned sculptors from abroad before eyes all people. Ice exposure decorate centre of Košice for weeks after the event and attracts many visitors and media.
