Festivities celebrating harvest are important elements of traditional culture in the region. At Myjava's Harvest Home, folklore and other related musical genres are a popular part of the cultural programme that attracts many visitors including young people. At local Padelky area and on nearby pastures, the demonstrations of various agricultural activities will take place while traditional crafts will presented at a crafts fair in the Reeve's yard, all in harmony between the environment and the activities organised during the event.

Focused on the representation of cultural heritage through demonstrations of traditional ways of agriculture, traditional crafts and occupations as well as traditional dishes, the festival offers performances of folklore singers and musicians throughout whole Saturday, and a thanksgiving ceremony with a public worship at the local church of Evangelical Church of the Augsburg Confession in Slovakia on Sunday morning.

In the distinctive area with scattered farm dwellings of the Myjava town surroundings, you will find out that life at the rural area was full of activities. During five days of educational program related to traditional culture, you will learn a lot not only about way of life locals used to live, but also how the bounteous Harvest Thanksgiving was celebrated in the Myjava cultural region.
