Description of the route: The first part of the trip is the often used access road and the most comfortable ascent to the central part of the main ridge from the valley of the Váh river. In its lower part, the route runs in the forest and the ascent to the stall with refreshment Pod Chlebom is especially steep. The middle part of the trip leads on the comfortable path through alpine meadows offering nice views. Also the steep descent through the gorge of Tesnô and around the Šútovský vodopád waterfall (the highest in the Malá Fatra Mts.) including the long descent down the pleasant Šútovská dolina valley is interesting. For its altitude difference and the overall length, this trip is difficult and strenuous. Orientation may become a problem in the part on the alpine meadow, as there is a great number of footpaths trodden by cattle. A very steep descent is in the upper part through the Tesnô gorge to the Šútovský vodopád waterfall, which is dangerous and slippery in wet weather. This 38 m high waterfall is one of the highest in Slovakia.
