Trail description: The education trail informs visitors about the history of the former mining and royal free town of Pukanec, focusing on old mines and description of the mining, processing and treatment of gold and silver ores. However, information boards also provide some information about the flora and fauna of the Pukanec environs. The trail informs about the most typical geological features of the close vicinity of Pukanec. We started the implementation of the education trail in the tourist season of 2004. Gradually, every season a new location is made available on the trail route with twelve information boards, depending on the possibilities and financial funds. The trail is 5.2 km long, through easy terrain with the elevation gain of 140 m. The youngest hiker accompanied by the parents was barely a year old and the oldest one was 86.
