Nitra will host the third edition of the popular event Festival of Flavours of the Nitra Region (Festival chutí Nitrianskeho kraja). It will include the food festival Ochutnám v Nitre. It will take place on June 4th in the historical centre of Nitra.
This year, regional specialities and producers will be featured alongside restaurants that will be out on the pedestrian zone and Svätopluk Square to offer foodies their choice from among more than 150 non-traditional dishes."Ochutnám v Nitre" combines culinary specialities with an emphasis on the strawberries grown in this region, with the subtitle Strawberry Nitra (Jahodová Nitra).
There will be strawberry specialities
such as strawberry ricotta, chocolate and strawberry mousse, mead and sparkling
wine with strawberries, strawberry tones in wines, gourmet coffee with
strawberry flavour – and the list goes on. Coffee roasters, chocolate shops,
small breweries, distilleries and internationally awarded winemakers will also
present their wares.
As part of the festival, Open Day and Children's Day will be held in Andrej Bagar Theatre. Enjoy the atmosphere of place overlooked by a proud castle and Zobor peak.
