Cabbage Days

The first weekend of October is dedicated to cabbage (called "zelé" in the local Záhorie dialect). The Cabbage Days festival aims to preserve the traditions of growing and processing regional cabbage varieties, known for their distinctive flavor. From cabbage dishes to a traditional craft fair and musical delicacies, the festival attracts thousands of visitors to Stupava every year. In 2025, the event will celebrate its 26th edition. Cabbage Days is one of the largest festivals in the Záhorie region.

Apple Feast

At the beginning of October, the Bratislava Region fills with the scent of apples and the flavors of autumn. On Saturday, 4th October 2025, the traditional event Apple Feast will take place under the direction of the Small Carpathian Cultural Centre in Modra. It combines gastronomy, art, tradition, and community life. This year, as many as 18 towns and villages are participating. The apple, as the symbol of autumn, takes center stage in every form—from crunchy fresh apples straight from growers, to pies, strudels, jams, and juice, as well as original specialties prepared by local chefs and home cooks.

Nevinne o víne Piešťany
