The Košice Peace Half Marathon is a popular running event that takes place in Košice and offers participants the classic half marathon distance (21.1 kilometres). The event has been drawing runners from all over Slovakia and abroad to Košice for several years now. The race takes place on a picturesque route around Košice, which present the city’s landmarks and promotes the spirit of peace and unity through sport.

Behaj lesmi is a series of 7 trail-running races in nature in the months of April – August 2024 which attracts competitors to routes with 80% soft surface and 100% fresh air. With Behaj lesmi, participants will see unique locations in the most beautiful places of the Slovak Republic. The races always offer a shorter route of about 10 kilometres as well as a longer version of some 20 kilometres in length, along with a charity run 5 kilometres long. The children’s Dr. Max races and team competitions are also a matter of course. Among the attractions of the series are: Devín Castle, the fairy-tale village of Čičmany, the genuine wilderness of the Veľká Fatra, unique views of the Calvary and the entire town of Banská Štiavnica, a run through the Treetop Trail, or the beautiful landscape of the Topoľčianky wine region and, most recently, the real forest surroundings of the Slovak Paradise.
Qualification for Grand Prix 2024 – Speedway World Championships

This is a motorcycle race on the so-called speedway, and Žarnovica is the only place in Slovakia with a functional speedway stadium where such races can be held. The event represents qualification for the most prestigious speedway race in the world – the Grand Prix Challenge in 2025. The Qualification for the Grand Prix is also the World Championship, and representatives of different countries will take part as competitors. The event is held under the auspices of the International Motorcycling Federation (FIM) and the Slovak Motorcycling Federation (SMF).

Accept an invitation to a legendary race of vintage vehicles. The Slovak 500 km race started for the first time on 20 June 1937 and began to write its modern history in the 1970s. The Slovak 500 km commemorative ride has been running since 1974 and was the first ever veteran car competition in Slovakia. Every year FIVA (International Federation for Historic Vehicles) chooses one country in which to organise its world rally, and in 2024 that country will be Slovakia. The planned race promises a breathtaking look at these technical and cultural monuments, which will be presented this time to an audience from all over the world.

The BIRELL BIKEFEST is the largest bicycle festival in Slovakia. It offers a huge adrenaline rush and fun for all age groups. The event’s 14th year will be held, as is tradition, in the Freeride Bikepark Kálnica (near Nové Mesto nad Váhom). You can enjoy nine different disciplines, as well as a silver mountain bike world cup in the slopestyle discipline.
