The USE THE C!TY Festival annually attracts thousands of people to experience their city from a different perspective than usual. The Calvary near Spišská Kapitula is an almost forgotten complex of small sacred architecture, the original concept of which was almost unknown until 2002. It was only thanks to the research of landscape specialists and historians that we now know this Calvary is the oldest in Slovakia. Its construction took place between 1666 and 1675. The Calvary is unique in its concept, its placement in the landscape, and the architectural elements used. Today, it has been named in a way that best reflects its function and concept: Spišský Jerusalem.

We invite you to the 27th edition of the International Festival of Children’s Folklore Ensembles. The MF DFS Costumed Dolls is a unique festival included in the calendar of the International Organization of Folk Art (IOV), organized by the VSFZ, POS Poprad, and the Prešov Self-Governing Region. This festival is characterized by its multi-day duration, taking place in various locations, with participants being welcomed by the mayors of the cities where the main programs are organized. These events are accompanied by live music, a folk parade, and additional programs, as well as the festival participants' ceremony and the exchange of dolls, symbolizing a living child dressed in traditional folk attire. These costumed dolls – toys – symbols of the ensembles and the festival are exchanged by Slovak and foreign groups as a sign of friendship. All participants receive a certificate and a ceramic trophy in the shape of the logo – the costumed doll. We warmly invite you to an unforgettable artistic experience.
