The USE THE C!TY Festival annually attracts thousands of people to experience their city from a different perspective than usual. Thanks to a wide range of Slovak and international artists, who passionately bring both familiar and unexplored corners of Košice to life, the audience has the opportunity to see public spaces in a new light. The festival's regular program features theater, music, and dance in the streets, as well as unique architectural interventions that temporarily transform the face and character of the city.
Spring Celebration

Come to the 11th edition of the Spring Celebration, which will be dedicated to folklore and traditions. The event will celebrate folk art, music, dance, and singing, and this year it will be in the spirit of the Gorals – as a tribute to this unique minority. There will be a traditional Maypole raising, carriage races with the strongest draft horses in Slovakia, a horse parade through the village of Hniezdne, and competitive teams showcasing their culinary skills and competing for the title of "Bearer of Traditions." A children's program and a children's zone will also be prepared.

Opening of the Summer Spa Season

A celebration with a rich cultural program, which has officially marked the start of the summer spa season in Piešťany since 1992. The main program traditionally takes place on Saturday throughout the day. An essential part of the event is the ceremonial blessing of the springs on Spa Island, a parade through the town, and the official opening at the Music Pavilion in the city park. From the afternoon until late evening, there will be numerous performances and concerts at the Music Pavilion in the city park. Food stalls and artisan booths will also be part of the event.
Days of Spišský Jerusalem, Cultural and Spiritual Festival

The Calvary near Spišská Kapitula is an almost forgotten complex of small sacred architecture, the original concept of which was almost unknown until 2002. It was only thanks to the research of landscape specialists and historians that we now know this Calvary is the oldest in Slovakia. Its construction took place between 1666 and 1675. The Calvary is unique in its concept, its placement in the landscape, and the architectural elements used. Today, it has been named in a way that best reflects its function and concept: Spišský Jerusalem.
