The symbolic indicator of the prevailing theme of the festival and the common denominator of the topics of the individual works is the festival's subtitle, which changes every year. The theme of the 2025 International Theatre Festival Divadelná Nitra is "Right/Here and Right/Now!" The basic premise is to highlight the issue of fundamental rights in relation to society or citizens, the environment, with an emphasis on the urgency and relevance of their threat. The theme Right/Here and Right/Now! is meant to be a testimony to the first quarter-century of the new millennium.

Slovakia’s oldest and largest international film festival returns for its 31st edition with an exceptional program featuring over a hundred films across three competition sections and several non-competitive ones.
