Enjoy an experiential ride tracing the footsteps of our ancestors' traditional sheep farming and agriculture every Tuesday during the summer holidays from 1 July to 26 August 2025, between 9:00 AM and 3:30 PM. The route of the "Zbojnícka strela" (Highwayman's Arrow) goes from Brezno through Salaš Zbojská to Sedlo Chlipavice and back to Brezno via Čierny Balog. Trip price: €15 per adult, €10 per child aged 3 to 15, free for children under 3. Payment is possible in cash only on-site. Capacity is limited to 32 participants. Reservation required at least 24 hours in advance via the booking system at www.heartofslovakia.sk, by phone at +421 903 513 535, or by email at zazitky@heartofslovakia.sk. The minimum number of participants for the ride to take place is 10.

The Bojnice Cultural Centre presents the programme of this year's Saffron Summer in Bojnice. Concerts, performances, fairs, exhibitions, children’s programmes, literary evenings, and many other exciting events are prepared. Saffron Summer in Bojnice starts in June and will last until 13 September 2025. We believe you will find your favourites in the programme and visit the picturesque town of Bojnice. Saffron Summer is a series of events for all age groups during the 2025 summer tourist season. Most events have free admission. Programme subject to change. A Fairytale Tourbus Journey Through the Corners of Lower Horehronie

Hop on the Fairytale Tourbus from the town of Brezno to the subdestination of Lower Horehronie every Wednesday during the summer holidays, from 2 July to 27 August 2025, from 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM, departing from the Town Tower of Brezno with the Information Center in the belfry. The fairytale journey route includes: the Vampire Escape Room, Samo Chalupka Memorial Room, Water Mill with canal in Predajná, Fairytale World in Nemecká, and the “Nostalgia” exhibition in Brezno. Trip price: €18 per adult, €12 per child aged 3 to 15. The price includes a round-trip tourbus ride and guided entry to each exhibition. Payment is possible in cash only on site. The Tale of the Enchanted Well at Bojnice Castle

Human weaknesses and flaws are natural. But it is right to strive to change and overcome them. Our fairytale tells the story of a prince who, due to his laziness, greed, and arrogance, allowed a curse to fall upon his kingdom. How he managed to redeem himself and, with the help of kindness in people’s hearts and a magical well, break the cruel curse—you'll see in this children's theatrical tour during July and August at Bojnice Castle, titled “The Tale of the Enchanted Well.” This fairytale experience combines video projection with a guided performance and takes place in the castle’s apartment rooms (outside the regular tour route). It is suitable for children aged 4 to 10.
The tour runs from Wednesday to Sunday at: 9:15, 10:15, 11:15, 13:15, 14:15, and 15:15.

European Folk Crafts Festival

The international festival dedicated to the preservation and maintenance of the guilds’ traditions, European Folk Crafts (EĽRO), writes its 33rd chapter. The town under the Tatras will once again come alive with crafts and folklore. Kežmarok will transform into a closed festival area, where folk ensembles and craftsmen from Slovakia and abroad will showcase their work. The history, guild customs, and knightly duels will be brought closer to visitors by theater groups, historical charm troupes, and martial arts performers. You can also look forward to an interesting accompanying program for all age groups. Music lovers of modern and popular genres will have their share of enjoyment. The Bandits at the Sheep Farm in Priehyba are back—on Saturday, 12 July! You can look forward to the main star of the program, Fíha Tralala! We’ve prepared a fantastic family-friendly program full of fun and folk traditions with the Liptov Bandits, Mr. FUNtastic, the children’s folklore ensemble Ďumbier, many folk artists, and children’s animations. The host of the event will be the Liptov bandit Miroslav Kasprzyk. The bandits will demonstrate whip-cracking school, a bandit duel, bandit triathlon, and also a bandit photo point. At the highest-located sheep farm in Slovakia—Salaš Priehyba—you will learn everything about shepherding, especially about the traditional Slovak sheep breed, the Valaška. Every child who brings a plush sheep will receive a gift.

Legends Come to Life V

Stroll through the town with a map and search for the colored markers of individual legends, which will be performed at scheduled times. Three stories are performed simultaneously, so you can choose which one to see first. The others will wait for you at later time slots. The legends are independent from each other, and each is performed four times during the evening. You’ll be able to see all the legends if you arrive no later than 7:00 PM and follow the program. In 2025, two refreshed old-new legends and one brand-new legend will be presented. The event *Legends Come to Life* features live theatrical scenes performed at nine locations throughout the historical parts of Bojnice.
