The Folk Festival Východná is the oldest and largest nationwide festival with international participation in Slovakia. Every year, at the beginning of the summer tourist season, on the first weekend of July, rich folk traditions come to life in the attractive surroundings near the High and Low Tatras, and the picturesque village of Východná becomes the center of Slovak culture for a few days. Východná is a celebration of folklore, and its existence plays a significant role in reviving, preserving, creatively developing, and publicly presenting the precious values of our cultural heritage. Legends Come to Life V

Stroll through the town with a map and search for the colored markers of individual legends, which will be performed at scheduled times. Three stories are performed simultaneously, so you can choose which one to see first. The others will wait for you at later time slots. The legends are independent from each other, and each is performed four times during the evening. You’ll be able to see all the legends if you arrive no later than 7:00 PM and follow the program. In 2025, two refreshed old-new legends and one brand-new legend will be presented. The event *Legends Come to Life* features live theatrical scenes performed at nine locations throughout the historical parts of Bojnice.
6th BOJNICE CRAFT FESTIVAL

Discover the work of skilled craftsmen from across Slovakia right in the heart of Bojnice. Free entry. In the past, Bojnice was known for its tile and pottery craftsmanship, with up to seven ceramic workshops operating in the town. Building on this history, the 6th edition of the traditional crafts festival will take place over the weekend—on Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 July 2025—featuring master artisans demonstrating original production techniques. You’ll witness the craft of a tinkerer, potter, egg decorator, wool processor, basket weaver, wooden kitchenware maker, gingerbread decorator, straw weaver, and trough carver. Craftsmen will be located on Hurban Square in the town center of Bojnice both days from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. The event is supported by the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of the Slovak Republic.
Jazzy Fest 2025

Come experience a “truly jazzy fest” once again at the 21st edition of the summer jazz festival in Liptov, taking place from 25 to 27 July 2025 at the House of Culture in Liptovský Mikuláš. You can look forward to a jazz-punk whirlwind by Botticelli Baby, a septet composed of leading soloists from Hungary’s Modern Art Orchestra big band, the duo Emil Viklický and Pavel Hrubý, the new project *Agma* by Polish guitarist Szymon Mika with guest Oskar Török, the live premiere of *Normal*, a cinematic album by saxophonist Nikolaj Nikitin, and the debut of a new project *Hydra* by Robert Pospiš and Martin Sillay featuring Miloš Valent and Miki Skuta. Also performing will be Tibor Feledi Kairos Quintet, Valér Miko Continnum Project with Sisa Fehér, and many more. In addition, you can look forward to workshops, jazz album giveaways, and nightly jam sessions.
