Tatranská Lomnica will belong to Snow Dogs, Skalnaté Pleso to giant snowmen

HIGH TATRAS (5 February 2025) Families with children can look forward to a vibrant weekend in the High Tatras. In Tatranská Lomnica, the popular family event Snow Dogs will take place on February 8 and 9. Children can enjoy two days full of competitions, fairy tales, dog shows, and various fun games. As true explorers, children will have the chance to take expeditions into the corners of the icy landscape and on an adventurous expedition discover the South and North Poles, which for this occasion will be set up right under Lomnický Peak. According to well-informed sources, there will also be a live statue of the polar explorer Amundsen in the event area – specifically in the area of the Maxiland ski school. The main stars of the event will be 50 northern dogs with sleds on which children can take a ride. Also attractive will be a demonstration of the work of avalanche dogs of the Mountain Rescue Service. Each child who brings a plush dog will receive a gift and Horalky. Entry to the event is free.

A literally big surprise will await visitors to the event at Skalnaté Pleso, where a family of giant snowmen almost 7 meters high will be built. For visiting Skalnaté Pleso, children up to 12 years old will be able to use a special offer in the form of free round-trip pedestrian tickets for the cable car, which will be available directly at the resort's ticket office (the condition is the accompaniment of an adult with a valid cable car ticket).
