The Eastern Slovakian viticultural region spreads on the mild slopes of the mountain range Vihorlat and on the undulated edge of the East Slovakian lowland. It consists of 4 viticultural areas and (89 viticultural communes).
These localities are predetermined for production of fine wine varieties such asBurgundské biele, Chardonnay and Burgundské modré. Growing of white muscatel varieties such as Müller-Thurgau, Rizling vlašský and of blue varieties of Frankovka is also spread. Sauvignon, Veltlínske zelené, Tramín červený, Cabernet Sauvignon a Svätovavrinecké are additional varieties which complement the scale of vines grown and processed in this region.Source: Vydavateľstvo Dajama
