Železná studnička, a lake above the Partizánska lúka is a great and pleasant place for the boating. A calm water line, varied colors of the greenwood around, you and the boat, only few kilometers from the town centre.
Boating at this location has a long tradition. Four lakes were built here in 1846 for a propulsion of nine water mills. Water mills date back to 1455, however, their purpose ended in the end of 19th century and since then they have been used as excursion restaurants.
During the communist era, boating was a popular activity among the families of all classes and it was an escape from the ever-present regime. After the Velvet Revolution, this attraction faced the unprofitability problems and romantic boating remained just a nice memory for a long time.
This tradition became a reality again after the renovation of the revitalized Partizánska lúka. See you on the lake!
