If you like the typical atmosphere of a fair with the smell of grilled sausages and tasty "burčiak" (new, still fermenting wine) and a variety of fair goods offered in stands with background music from merry-go-rounds, you should certainly visit the beautiful historical town of Bardejov at the last weekend of August.
The fair, whose tradition dates back to the 14thcentury, also offers you a varied cultural programme and scores of interesting accompanying events. It is held in the historical Radničné námestie square and the adjacent streets of the central urban conservation area.
Accompanying events that are held on a yearly basis include a conference of experts focusing on the issue of urban conservation areas and theBardkontakt International Contract-Sales Exhibition with the Motor Car Show, The fair is organized by the town of Bardejov, which is visited by thousands of people every year.
