An exhibition of a unique borrowed set of 70 works - paintings, drawings, stained glass, reliefs and lithographs by the painter, graphic and sculptor of world importance Alfons Mucha will be installed in Mirbach Palace from 31 January until 11 May 2014.
The City Gallery in Bratislava has after more than a year of effort succeeded in borrowing a unique set of paintings, drawings, stained glass, reliefs and lithographs by the gifted native of MoraviaAlfons Mucha. It was demanding especially due to the fact that there are currently exhibitions of Mucha’s works in Japan, South Korea and Prague.The exhibition presents a retrospective cross-section of master works by the world renowned artist.
The most important borrowings come from the National Gallery in Prague, Moravian Gallery in Brno and the Gallery in the Capital City Prague.
A total of 12 Czech galleries and private collectors will participate in the exhibition.
