Skiers in the well-known Orava ski resort of Roháče-Spálená have been given a treat for the beginning of the new season in the shape of a new chairlift which will ensure better quality services and new experiences.
The six-seater chairlift has upholstered seats, protection against the elements (a so-called bubble), heating and a wind limiter. The chairlift can carry 2,400 people per hour; the cabin takes just under seven minutes to cover the two-kilometre distance to the terminus with a change in altitude of 465 m. For comparisons, the current, shorter four-seater chairlift takes around five minutes longer.Source: Klaster Orava, OOCR
