Find out why the world may not be a fair place for all through the films featured in the main section of this year’s 16th International One World Documentary Film Festival, organised under the title of ‘A Fairer World,’ from November 26 to December 1, 2015.
Is it fair to throw away food if every ninth person on this planet goes
to bed hungry? Is cheaper petrol worth having gorillas die out in the
Congo? We should be ask ourselves these and other questions if we want
to live in a fairer world. Our daily consumer decisions affect the
quality of our lives, but also the quality of the lives of people in
developing countries. One World—as the title of the festival indicates,
the volume of water we drink on our side of the planet from a
seemingly-endless glass affects the amount of water on the other side.
