Description of the route: Demanding high-mountain tour. The ascent to Kôprovský štít peak alone is demanding but technically simple. Descent to the Hlinská dolina valley is not complicated either. Return trip though, is lengthy, as you have to cross the whole of Kôprovská dolina valley. The tour can not be accomplished in winter.
There are several reasons why to visit the Kôprovský štít peak, it is one of the easiest to ascend from the Tatra peaks, and the road leads in one of the most beautiful valleys in the whole mountain range, with the largest lake in the Slovak part of the Tatras, and the views of the entire western and central part of the mountain range from the top are not negligible either.
