Spartan Race's main objective is to get as many people to the sport, but also help other people who due to some health disability can not make a sport. Therefore, there is a Charity Spartan Sprint, whose sole aim is to unite and donate money from entry fees to those who need it. The one on Saturday afternoon the 12th of May at Donovaly is one these races. Easier than Super, it shares the course with Sprint.
At the start corral everyone stands in yellow T-shirts and at the finish line all will get unique yellow medal. This race is not about the results, points, toil nor exhaustion – it is about a common experience, but mostly about helping others. Do you wish to be a part of it at Donovaly?
The first charity event Spartan Race in Europe was held in Košice on 9 July 2017. Charity race was attended by about 300 Spartans. The common aim was to help special elementary school for the physically disabled children in Košice. Spartan Race gave financial standing donation of 6,420 euros. Collected money intended to build a multi-purpose sports field for the physically afflicted children from the school.
Spartan and Chance 4 Children are Charity Run partners this year. For the last 20 years, Chance 4 Children has run three separate initiatives, targeting the growth, education and well-being of children in need in Central and Eastern Europe.
