The first Saturday in August, historical event takes place each year in a beautiful park under the castle Krásna Hôrka in the village of Krásnohorské Podhradie. The programme acquires a number of events, a ceremonial procession, historical fencing, a feast mood with period delicacies, events for children, and a beautiful atmosphere until late in the evening.
At the end of the 20th century, an imitation of the medieval park was made next to the castle, where the castle games are staged this year as well. In addition, a huge medieval catapult later used for organizing the annual festival was installed that time at the castle. Castle games under Krásna Hôrka now belong to the most popular events in all Košice Region.
Krásna Hôrka Castle stands on a stony hill not far from the town of Rožňava. It is one of the most beautiful historic landmarks of the picturesque Gemer historical region.
