Hunting in Slovakia

Current natural environment in Slovakia is considered one of the best preserved in Europe, boasting of beautiful flora and fauna. At the same time Slovakia is one of the few countries that have retained hunting tradition, customs and habits.

Hunting Tradition

Slovakia has its national hunting tunes and Slovak hunters even use ten hunting signals not used anywhere else, issued in 1971 as a brochure score. Most of the established habits support human and ethical execution of hunting rights by hunters. The major public educational event is the traditional June -Month of Hunting and Nature Protection. Another occasion is represented by celebrations of Days of St. Hubert, Patron Saint of Hunters. The mission promoted by hunters in Slovakia is that game must first of all be protected and taken care of and only then hunted.
