Every month there is a House of Traditional Dances organized by the Dragúni NGO – a dance party where you have a chance to learn how to dance to the classic folklore music or music of various minority groups. This time it moves from historical Bratislava city centre to another lovely place, the Forest Park.

The park is inherently connected with a historical lodge Horský park that has become a popular place of rest, meeting point and original cultural centre of Bratislava, where various cultural and social events are organized in the summer. The third Saturday of August, you can experience the interactive dance, music as well as a creative workshop for anyone under the supervision of the leading personalities of Slovak folk revival movement, Barbora and František Morong.

On August 19th, this Sunday edition of The House of Traditional Dances will be dedicated to dances for children and adults. Enjoy the afternoon led by František Morong and Barbora Morongová as well as Ján Michálik and Katarína Galbičková with a special assistance of sisters Dorotka Morongová and Terezka Morongová. Music will be provided by Michal Noga Folk Band, bagpiper Lukáš Lacko and music band Páni času.

Cheerfulness expressed in dance is not enough, therefore you can look forward to interesting interactive workshop with intuitive hand made musical instrument WoodPack. It is a rhytmical - melodic musical instrument made of high quality resonating wood which vibrations cause unique and soothing wooden melody, resembling marimba or xylophone. Curious now?

Come over to spend big time enjoying superb rhythms, fabulous music, gorgeous people, charming surroundings and great atmosphere at the unique Summer Dance Party, all for pure joy of life shown in music, sing and dance.
