An event at Orava Castle dedicated to school groups aims to attract the future generation in an interactive way. After last year's 750th anniversary of first written mention about Orava Castle, another fantastic jubilee, the 150th anniversary of the museum, is the main theme of the event this year. Orava Museum historians will take children and youth on an unconventional castle tour with special features.
Regardless of summer being over, there is still a lot to do and discover at the castle overlooking the region. Standing there for centuries, many hidden treasures wait to be revealed. Fantastic 150th anniversary is celebrated in 2018 at Orava Museum. One of Slovakia's oldest museums was founded in 1868 at Orava Castle by Count Edmund Zichy, the director of then Orava compossessorate. Annualy, there are over 268 thousands people visiting all 9 expositions of the museum.
