The evening tour of the Orava village will take about two hours, and you're sure to learn amusing stories from the lives of the people of
Orava. There will be folk music and traditional Orava songs and dances. To warm you up even more, hot chocolate and honey wine, a Slovak speciality, will be served.
The programme at the Orava Village Museum in
Zuberec includes an evening tour with lit lanterns, humorous and serious accompanying lyrics, melodies and songs played by a brass band. The tour finishes at the wooden
Church of St. Elisabeth of Hungary, where you can enjoy short compositions played on an organ. The programme continues with the performance of folk music songs and dances from the
Orava region. During the evening, visitors are invited to participate in simple dances and songs while mead is served to adults and hot chocolate and tea to children.
Popular evening tours are available at 04:30 p.m. each Wednesday in January and February (except for February 14th), and on the first two Wednesdays of March (March 2nd and 9th) starting at 05:30 p.m.
