The long-distance cycling route, which contains a number of monuments and natural attractions, leads from the Danube river along the Malé Karpaty Mts. through Považie, Kysuce and Orava regions below the Nízke Tatry mountain range to Poprad or the Slovenský raj Mts. (Slovak Paradise). It comprises a set of marked long-distance cyclopaths that are mutally linked.

The marked cycling route kicks off nearKomárno's border bridge. After the Danube Cycling Route it continues to Bratislava's Lafranconi bridge, where it passes above the Danube to the marked Morava Cycling Route, which then proceeds below the Devín Castle to the village of Vysoká pri Morave. This is wherethe Malé Karpaty Cycling Route marked in red, begins and then leads on to Nové Mesto nad Váhom. The area of the Miniatures Park in the village of Podolie contains the "Zero Meridian" with 24 direction indicators for cyclists marking various parts of this cycling route.

In Nové Mesto nad Váhom the route then links to the Váh Cycling Route marked in red that leads through Trenčín and Považská Bystrica to Žilina. Behind the town of Bytča in the village of Kotešová, however, it turns to the Kysuce cycling path marked in red. The route follows across Kysuce region to the Demänová mountain pass and goes on to Orava region and leading by the Main Cycling Trail of Kysuce it then reaches Liptov region. It continues to another red-marked Liptov Cycling Route and below the Nízke Tatry mountain range and across the town of Liptovský Hrádok it reaches the Čierny Váh valley.

In the village of Liptovská Teplička the journey divides in two directions that start at the edge of two national parks. When taking the northern Poprad Cycling Route (marked in red), you will reach Poprad - the starting point for the High Tatras. The southern Hornád cycling route, for its part, will lead you to Hrabušice - the entry point for the Slovenský raj Mts. This is where the journey ends for now.

You can make the journey either individually or in groups. It contains several digressions to border checkpoints, which makes the trip accessible for foreign tourists. It is necessary to plan the journey for several days, with its exact length depending on the number of monuments and attractions you will visit along the whole route. And there indeed are many of them...
