Carpathian maps give tips for tourists in the North-East of Slovakia

Do you consider visiting the Region of Prešov? You can find several tips for trips to the eastern part of the border between Slovakia and Poland (between the High Tatras and Bukovec Mountains) on the new web page.

If you prefer adventures, you can select some of the following traces – Along Robbers´ Paths, Vineyard Bike Rout, Road of Wooden Churches, Gothic Road or, the Multi–Cultural Road featured by colourful ethnographic traditions. On the homepage, you can find all interesting sightseeings of the region as caves, swimming pools, castles, manor houses, museums, galleries, archaeological sites, urban listed buildings, folk art and music. The homepage presents historical data and sagas. You can also find a lot of information about accommodation, restaurants, sporting goods rental and car service.

The Carpathian Map of Possibilities is the first real concept of joint promotion of tourism, culture and natural sightseeings of the country inhabited by the nationalities of Lemkos, Gorals and Ruthenians standing close to each other due to their similar languages and cultures.

The website is written in the following three languages – Slovak, Polish and English. You can find maps, cycle routes here. Enter the date and you will get the events which take place in the given location. You can also see pictures of sightseeings and contacts of service providers.

This website is an output of the cross-border project implemented by the Region Prešov on the Slovak side and a centre of culture SOKÓŁ Nowy Sacz in Lesser Poland. Currently, there are two websites: the Slovak www.karpatskamapa.sk and the Polish one: www.karpackamapaprzygody.pl
